Make money online with twitter is one of the newest crazes and ideas to hit the web. There are many different ways to supposedly make money online with twitter, but more often than not most people are just trying to sell you something. There are a lot of people out there promoting different systems or softwares which will increase your twitter following by thousands of people who will want to just throw their money at you and you will be rich forever and ever. Unfortunately, these systems and softwares do not understand one of the main principles of social media - which is that when you create value others will follow and respond. These "make money with twitter" programs almost blindly add thousands of followers without establishing any form of relationship or value - and thus making them meaningless followers.

If you decide that you do want to leverage twitter to make money online there are many other better ways to try to do it. I have listed them below.

1) Website Promotion. Many people use twitter for personal purposes, and then throw in a link to their latest blog posts when they make them. This is a way to make money with twitter indirectly. By allowing your followers the chance to visit your website or blog, you are also allowing them a chance to click your ads or buy your products.

2) Product Promotion. Some people have decided to directly post affiliate links on twitter to hot new products or other affiliate programs. Many of your followers may view this as spam and will be more likely to stop following you. Twitter itself may also consider you to be polluting the community with spam and can shut of your account. Unless some asks you to, or unless your twitter activity is very niche specific and your followers expect it - I would advice against using this method.

3) Service Promotion. Many service businesses use this method to make money inderectly from twitter. They search out twitter users with similar interests or do a search to find out who is talking about or in need of the service the business provides. They then attempt to build a relationship with the other user and slowly introduce their service to see if the customer is at all interested. When accomplished in the right way, this can be a great way to find customers and make some money - but building valuable relationships does take time and patience.

4) Make Money with Twitter Advertisers. The last way you can make money with twitter is by using different services like Be-A-Magpie and TwtAds. These services take your twitter account info and based upon your preferences place tweets in your twitter stream that contain affiliate links. You are then paid based on what action your followers take (i.e. clicking, buying, etc.) This method is not looked upon too highly and could result in the loss of followers. Do it at your own discretion.

The single reason why most people don't make money online is because they lack discipline. The different ways to make money online abound. Do a simple google search for the term "How to Make Money Online" and you will come up with various results telling of various ways to do the deed. Some methods are scams (which will be exposed here in due time) and other methods work well. However, there is no easy money fast cash method that will make you thousands overnight (unless you strike it super lucky).

Making money online the ugly way requires discipline and dedication. Making money online the social way also requires hard work and dedication. You have to be willing to sacrifice time to write good content. You have to be willing to sacrifice time to do continued keyword research. You have to be willing to sacrifice time to build quality anchored links. You have to be willing to sacrifice the time to continually analyze your metrics to make sure that you are staying on top of the SERPs and getting the best possible conversion rates for the ads you choose to show. Does it all sound time consuming? It is at first, however once you get into the rythm and flow - it will become second nature. You will end up so experienced and efficient that the process will be as easy as wash, rinse, and repeat.

So many people who want to make money online start out with such a fervor and intensity. As they begin to get things going, the find that the money is not adding up as fast as they want it to. Most of the online money maker wanna-bees then end up folding up shop and turning to some other temporary program to fulfill their unsaciable thirst for money. First things first. I will assume you are on this website because you want to learn how to make money online. You may have been scammed already by some people claiming that they would help you make money online, but all they really wanted was to help themselves to your money. Well, I am here to tell you that your search for a simple way to make money online for free has ended - and in a sense, has also just begun. First of all, when users land on an ugly website, their first instinct is either to hit the back button, or two click on the first link that the see so that they can have their eyes return to the clean and structured internet as they know it. When a browser wants to leave a site, the default place to look for links or things to click is either at the header position or in the sidebar. One of the main staples of the make ugly money online movement is the free blog. Free blogs abound, but not all are suitable for making money online. Free wordpress.com blogs prohibit users from advertising, as do many other free blogging platforms. Other platforms such as today.com pay their users a premium for creating content and receiving pageviews. While there is money to be made over at today.com, it is not quite as suitable as the free blogger.com (blogspot) blog. Today.com blogs are meant for social traffic seekers. If you truly want to make money online the ugly way, then you will need to say goodbye to social traffic techniques, and extend a warm welcome to search engine optimization techniques.

The reason that free blogger.com blogs lend themselves so well to the Ugly Money system, is mainly because of their simple integration with the Google AdSense platform. Blogger.com's platform is also appealing because of their google pagerank of 7. Google places a high value on blogger's content initally, and then tweaks the SERP rankings depending on many other factors to be discussed in future posts. How to Make Money Online for Idiots - Beginner's Guide

I found out when I was about 14 or 15 that there are people who do make money online. I tried for 3 unsuccessful years to make some money online, but only made a few pennies in Paid To Click, Paid to Complete Offers, and other sites like MyLot. Over those three years, I probably made less than a total of $500. I was basically wasting my time.

Then, my senior year of high school (two years ago), I decided to take things in a completely new direction. I decided to try my hand at what I now call "making ugly money". Here I am, in my sophomore year of college - and I am making ugly money everyday. The best thing about making ugly money is that anyone can do it. Making ugly money online is a NO HYPE approach to a proven method which WILL make you money.

I hate the fact that I already sound like a lot of those sleazy big time internet marketers who try to sell their "methods" for yearly subscriptions of hundreds of dollars. Sure, some of them do have worthwhile information to give out, but you have to slog through a deep marsh of hype and fluff to find the stuff that is worthwhile. Save your time and your money by reading all about how you can make some ugly money online.

The Ugly Money "System" is fueled by one main principle. Here it is: "The purpose if internet advertising is to draw a browser/reader's attention from the content to another website". Now, that might sound a bit odd - but it is true. It is actually kind of weird once you think about it for a second. That means that all of the time that, while most bloggers are focused on creating good content, they are actually sabotaging themselves by trying to sell advertising. The advertising doesn't help them get their message across - it actually gets in the way of the posts and the message, but advertising pays the bills - so I am sure that is why most people attempt to put it on their website.

So, based on the Ugly Money Pillar Principle, here is the main way to make ugly money online (and this is a small crash course, a lot of the things discussed here will be explained in much greater detail in later posts). But, here are the four main steps.

1) Ugly, Free Website. Forget about paying for domain names and hosting ever again. They are all a rip off when it comes to making ugly money online. I prefer to use blogger.com and other free subdomain URLs to capitalize off of their already favorable listings in search engine results, and for the fact that they are completely free and easily monetized. Blogger.com free blogs and websites offer the easiest integration of Google's AdSense advertising network. (Steer clear of wordpress.com subdomaines - they are not really meant to be monetized, and wordpress will get on your case if you do attempt to monetize them).

2) Long Juicy Content. After you sign up your free website, it is time to put in some long, keyword loaded content (I assume you have already chosen a niche to blog/write/produce content about). If you haven't realized by this time, I am targeting the keywords "Make Money Online". It is best to make sure the content flows somewhat though, you do want to provide a bit of value to your readers so that they do have a reason to come back again if they seek more information of the niche topic that you have selected.

3) Link Time. While keywords in the blog URL, title, post titles, and content are important factors in your search engine ranking - the best way to insure good rank in search engines is to build quality one way backlinks from already established websites with a decent PageRank. You may have to settle for some reciprocal linking at first, but as you build your content and authurity - you will also see others begin to link to you - thus increasing your authority and search engine standings. (This is the "Reader's Digest" Explanation, and more will be coming on this at a later date).

4) Uglify and Monetize. Once you have a bit of content and a few visitors, it is time to monetize your website. It is advised to use Google's AdSense program if you can because it is so easily integrated into the website, and completely easy to make money with. If your website is to pretty and structured, you have less of a chance of people visiting the ads. Structured websites let people know that the ads are indeed ads, and thus should be ignored. Instead, we want to blend the ads in so that they mix with the content, and so are much more likely to be visited - which is where we will make our ugly money.
